Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. Formatting Standards:

  • Use a clear and readable font (e.g., Times New Roman, Arial) with a font size of 12 points.
  • Double-space your text and use 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Include page numbers and line numbers for ease of review.
  • Title, headings, and subheadings should be formatted consistently throughout the document.
  • Figures, tables, and illustrations should be clearly labelled and referenced within the text.

2. Bibliographic Standards:

  • Include a title page with the title of your submission, author(s)' names, affiliations, and contact information.
  • Provide an abstract (150-250 words) summarizing the main objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of your work.
  • Follow a clear and logical structure with sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Include acknowledgments, funding information, and any conflicts of interest.

3. Citation Formats:

  • Use the APA (American Psychological Association) style for in-text citations and reference lists.
  • For example:
    • In-text citation: (Author, Year)
    • Reference list entry: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the work. Publisher.
  • Ensure accurate and complete citations for all sources referenced in your work, including books, journal articles, websites, and other relevant sources.

4. Submission Process:

  • Submit your manuscript electronically through our online submission system.
  • Include a cover letter with your submission, briefly outlining the significance of your work and confirming that it has not been published elsewhere.
